Stapler in Jello!! Get Serious.

HA! Happy Birthday Strick! Yes, blink again, pinch yourself...that is indeed a stapler in jello. Suck it. If you're wondering, it was as awesome as it looks in person, and even better.
The key is that you want to use the Jello Jigglers (uh...thats what she said?) recipe, not the regular jello one. This way it's going to be a little more thick and stable. A little thread or dental floss to keep the stapler hanging in the middle of the jello and you're good to go.
And for the record my co-worker was delighted to find this waiting for him on his desk on Monday morning. Well, until he realized that he would have to clean his stapler off.

This "The Office" prank was so good that now I want to try the one where Jim puts the change in Dwight's phone......hmmm.

The Office Friday

Great episode this evening, wished it was longer. Looks like Angela is going to be left high and dry. The whole Andy/Dwight confrontation was hilarious, including the high five in the middle of their fight. Both are clueless! Pretty sure no one has ever really liked Angela, but she is really going to be in the doghouse after this one. Loved Jim trying to act like the grown up in the situation, Michael breaking the news and driving off in his car, Jim going around the office finding all of Dwight's hidden weapons, and so much more.

Did I mention the radar gun thingy at the start of the episode! Hilarious!

It was a great episode for those who love Michael Scott too. Wallace trying desperatly to figure out what in the hell Michael is doing RIGHT?!?!? Come to find out, not even Michael knows. But he sure can have one hell of an improversation.

I was sort of hoping the halloween part would last longer, awesome. Creed was the perfect joker, so scary. Maybe if then need another joker for Batman sequels they can just call him. I also really thought that Dwight's joker was sooo funny. Did anyone actually get what Ryan the Temp was supposed to be?

So looks like Holly is gone...are we thinking that Toby is coming back? I was discussing this with Damon, and he wanted me to relay the message that "toby sucks" to you Gal. :)

Dwight tormenting Andy with the whole Cornell thing? And the interview scene was classic. Loved it, almost felt like the way that Jim usually messes w/ Dwight. Andy as the beat farmer? Ha.

The Office Monday

There are 3 kinds of people in the world.

1. Awesome People: Find The Office hilarious
2. People who have never seen The Office: living WRONG.
3. ... (don't find the office funny? I just can't even fathom that)

That said, the Office premiered this week. Thursday September 25th was possibly the best day in the history of the world, The Beavs upset USC and that wasn't even the best part of my day, as I still had the premiere waiting for me at home on DVR. And yes, I did go home and watch it immediately after the game.

Let's see, where to begin?

• Holly finds out that Kevin isn't really retarded. AWESOME.
• Meredith's face in at the start of the episode? What in the hell happened??
• Angela & Andy's wedding planning - Laef & A-Ross you might be able to get some ideas there.
• Pam off to the graphic design program - weak. But she should be home soon. Will she get her old job back though? Pam's classmate that she's flirting and making jokes with?!?
  
• Michael telling the office that he's the father of Jan's baby.
• Dwight & Angela's booty calls!?
• Ryan the Temp is back, funny but I'm not sure how I feel about it, I was really hating him by the end of last season.
  
• Jim & Pam are engaged!!!! yay!

"The Office" FINALE

So I decided to jot down notes again during the finale, this post is going to be kind of a stream of conciousness type format, it will probably be either really annoying, or you'll laugh because you were thinking some of the same things while watching this episode. Here goes nothing...

Headset Joke on Dwight.....awesome, a true Jim & Pam throwback prank....."If the Devil were to explode, what kind of celebration would you have"..........Michael's sock money, first of all ewww, second of all - the lengths that he is going to for the ultimate Toby send off are hilarious...... Phyllis!! Yes, love to see Phyllis get her chance to show up Angela......Okay, looks like Pam is only going to New York for the summer while the show is off air. I approve. Good job writers......"Sell her an elevator pass".........Kevin is "slow in the head", I bet you could go back to past episodes with this premise and it would work, think Kevin's Kool-Aid Face........Toby stop hitting on Pam!!!.....Ryan the Temp sucks........I need songs that will work on 2 levels - "Welcome to Scranton" & "I Love You".............Jim's love pep-talk, aawwww, cute..........Oohhhhh no, i smell a proposal coming. Fireworks!.......I was right!.........Steve Carrell on SNL, that should be funny, note to self, watch SNL this week..........."This is a button" Kevin is killing me, how long can he pull this off?........Captain Brusin'.........Ryan The Temp gets arrested! "The real crime I think, was the beard".........."There is a racoon in the car!" but don't worry because it's not rabid........."Beers In Heaven" & "Total Eclipse of the Fart" it is criminal to provide a reference to these songs and not show us the actual performance........JAN IS KNOCKED UP. as Zeb said..."OH SNAP"........Okay, but I bet it is Hunter's baby.........Yes! I am so on point......."You cheated on me, when I specifically asked you not to?".......Okay, so I was pretty close though. I think it would have been funnier if it were Hunter's......She should have given Michael a shot though.........Jim is so cute and nervous right now..........Noooooo!!!......Oohhh, poor Dwight & Jim. Now I am getting all the foreshadowing of how Jim & Pam had all their first important relationship moments at the office, so it was only right to propose there...and now, damn it! Andy ruined it!.......Poor Pam.....Stanley is KILLING me.......Michael & Jan again? No way, but she did seem a little bit chilled out.......Oh what!? (in reference to Dwight & Angela gettin' it at the Office)

Overall I really enjoyed this episode, for me it seemed like it took almost the whole season to build back up to this episode. Comment away!

"The Office" Thursday Night

Most of the time when I watch "The Office" I crack up the entire time, but when it gets to the end and I go to blog about it, I can't remember a damn thing that I thought was funny, usually I can eventually come up with a few comments, but this week I decided to take some quick notes during the episode. The following is what I came up with. My additional comments after the fact are in italics.

• jim's hair (Something about Jim's recent longer 'do is really bothersome to me. Does i mean something? Is it just the product of a new stylist on staff? The little flip-er-roo that has been going on the last few episodes takes the normal disheveled Jim Halpert look and somehow for me crosses the line. Is anyone with me?)
• proposal?! (they alluded to a possible upcoming proposal a little bit last week, but I tried to ignore it. Isn't this moving too fast?! )
• andy's golf pants!! (nothing else needs to be said)
• migraine worker (right at the same level as "colored greens" but I would love to hear Michael's explaination for what a migraine worker actually is)
• "the office" marathon on sunday (yes!)
• dwight & angela alone in the office!!!! (can anyone say...afternoon delight?)
• jim's hair - seriously!!! (still annoyed, and the golf hat this episode is only making it worse)
• andy gets thrown from golf cart into sand trap (totally saw it coming, but loved it all the same)
• game over! (there is always something funny about someone drop kicking a basketball)
• "i would never say this to her face, but she is a wonderful person and a gifted artist" (p.s. Pam really seems to be getting annoyed with Michael's constant demeaning comments)
• andy's blisters, eww (tried to ignore them the first time around, but they are just sooo gross)
• especially awkward michael episode (After making some strides last week in the professional areana, Michael was definitely back to his old ways this week, insecure and looking for constant approval - even from highschoolers)
• new york of philadelphia for pam? philadelphia = philly jim anyone?! (I dont' know if I like where this is going! )
• season finale next week. 1 hour. how did it sneak up on us so quick?

Night Out:
I was informed by an annoymous source that this episode was less than impressive, and maybe because I wasn't expecting much I ended up really liking it. A Couple of my highlights:

• Toby's awkward hand on Pam's thigh!
• What's up with Jim's shaggy hair?
• Dwight's fixation with Ryan The Temp's dwarfish friend.
• Dwight proves to be a real ladies man - very popular with the women's basketball team at the club.

Did I Stutter?
This one kept me a little bit perplexed. The Stanley/Michael confrontation made the majority of the episode feel a little bit awkward. Although I will say that I felt proud of Michael for standing up for himself at the end, and I think he did earn just a little bit of Stanley's respect. Jim's hair continues to look oddly disheveled. LOVED Dwight's Emergency Plan chain of command & the fact that somehow Michael manages to stay strong enough and not relinqish control!

Jim (John Krasinski) hits the links with Andy (Ed Helms) and Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) to try and land his biggest client ever. "The Office" Monday

Well, what to say? There was a lot of build up, and somehow it didn't quite match my expectations. There were definitely funny parts, but all in all I think my take away message is "Get back to the office!!!" The show started out about those crazy office dynamics and the strange characters that every office inevitably has. The whole Jan & Michael relationship makes me really awkward & I'm over it. Michael Scott deserves better! But there were still some great moments, such as:

• Serenity Candels by Jan - ??? for a one time hard core corporate woman, she really has that old school hippie vibe. Which leads me to...
• Hunter the Assistant's CD? Wow. Jan has some moves and she loves her some Hunter. Pretty sure that the song was written about Jan.
• Michael's 19 inch plasma screen TV. Really funny. And when Jan threw the dundie into the TV, i gasped out loud.

The Great Office Tragedy of 2007 (a.k.a. writer's strike) / This Week on "The Office"

Once again, I appologize for my lateness in last week's recap post. I was on the road, without my laptop, but I luckily did get a chance to catch the episode on Thursday night. Jim was such a douchebag in that episode. I get the point that he was "turning into Michael" but Michael is so much funnier, even when hes a jerk. Jim just came across as a jerk. Lame. I get that the writers are trying to build up all this new character stuff, but come on, if this writers strike doesn't end soon, we'll be stuck with all the build up, and no payoff. Michael as survivor man was hilarious, I'm pretty sure I've never seen them make their pants into shorts, and then back into pants again on any of those shows. great stuff. Also, Dwight still just seems off to me. Not the normal Dwight especially from seasons 1 and 2. Anyone else with me?

So I know we've been doing a lot of talking on the comments section on another post about this, but I thought it would be good to get a new place going for this discussion. Listen Up!

I know its not usually acceptable to brag about a birtday present you got someone, but for Damon's birthday we got him some things that I felt the blog community would really appreciate.
First of all is the "Listen Up." This is the "as seen on TV" device that helps you eves drop on people. If you've seen the commercials you know exactly what I'm talking about. Damon, we are expecting a full product review! Does it actually work?
And secondly, but certainly not least is the "world's best boss" mug. As pictured, Damon proudly uses this at work. Awesome.

Getting back to my regular schedule: this is "The Office" Friday. And there is pleanty to catch up on:

• Kevin - As noticed in the season opener, Kevin is really coming into his own. What about him giving Ryan the Temp a noogie?
• Ryan the Temp - Douchebag. Thats all I have to say. But does anyone else have the distinct feeling that he is about to ruin Dunder Mifflin as we know it?
• Jim & Pam - How cute are they? We'll see how long this can go on before it starts becoming annoying. Also, how did Pam get this reputation as the office sluzy? Can you believe Phyllis?
• Toby - I think this episode was a clear message to fans like Gal who actually like Toby. He is a jerk, he is not supposed to be liked.
• Kelly telling Ryan the Temp that shes pregnant. Loved it.
• Dwight is getting just a little bit boring to me...I hope he gets back to his usual outlandish ways soon...anyone else?
