It costs $4.79 to rent a movie at Hollywood Video. Are you shitting me? That's more than a gallon of gas (oh yeah, and gas prices seem to be slowly creeping up too. but that's another rant.) I don't get how they can raise their prices at Hollywood when they've got those damn red boxes going in everywhere. I hear those things only cost $1 per movie. (Note to self: stop f'ing around at Hollywood and check out those damn red boxes.) But like a bunch of suckers we paid damn near $5 tonight to rent Step Brothers. Oh yeah, and we paid a late fee too. Idiots. (us I mean, we're the idiots, not Hollywood. They must be pretty smart actually, they've been making a killing on us you know.) And Step Brothers is probably going to suck.Have a great weekend!

One word: blockbuster.com (or is that two?). It combines Netflix and Blockbuster ... You can return the movies that were mailed to you to a Blockbuster store, and you get a free in-store rental each time. Plus they give you montly coupons for free movies. Great deal, as long as you rent enough movies (we pay like $15/month).
Did ypou know that you can go to any library and check out movies for free? Yes, free! They are not old movies too. They have pretty recent ones.
Okay, we did Blockbuster.com for a long time when we lived in Montana, and I admit that it was pretty slick. The only problem was that we never seemed to want to watch the movies that we got in the mail when the showed up, we would then go get one from the store instead and then miraculously (too lazy to see if i spelled that right) return the store rented movies late and pay late fees.
Long story short, we felt like we weren't getting our money's worth for the monthly fee. And Hollywood is really close to our apartment.
Oh the irony. or something.
