Each year during MLB's All-Star break one of the main attractions is the Home Run Derby. I always make it a point to try to watch, admire the swings - some text book perfection, some completely broken down (see Vlad Guerrero,) - all beautiful in their own way.
Justin Morneau was crowned the camp this year, but a young slugger, Josh Hamilton, from the Texas Rangers stole the show. His is a true underdog story, and everything about his performance today seemed made for TV (but in a good way, not that disgustingly chessey way.) He even chose his 70-something year old high school coach to pitch for him. Adorable. Check out the link below for more on Hamilton.
