Ball Four

I know I've given a shout out to Jim Bouton's "Ball Four" here before, but I'm reading it again in celebration of spring training starting up and I can't help but talk about it here.

If you're a baseball fan, and you've never read this book you need to take quick and decisive action and READ IT. It is groundbreaking, flat our hilarious, and even now when clubhouse tell-alls are commonplace, it stands out as a truly genuine peek into professional baseball.

And it reads like a really great blog, broken down with an entry per day, each delightfully scattered and almost schizophrenic.. In fact it makes me want to blog with the candor and random chain of consciousness that Bouton writes with. We'll see, I may start a little experiment.
